ANVITA, France

Awareness campaign on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the 1951 Geneva Convention

Summary

On the occasion of the International Refugee Week, marking the 70th anniversary of the 1951 Geneva Convention relating to the Status of Refugees, ANVITA is launching an awareness campaign on its social networks. Thanks to the expertise of JRS France (Jesuit Refugee Service), this campaign is embodied by the elected members of the network. During one week, they remind the commitments and failures of France regarding the Geneva Convention. The aim is to make France's commitments under the Convention accessible to the general public and to raise awareness of the challenges faced today with regard to the proper respect of the rights of people seeking asylum in France.

Impact

Elected representatives take up the issue (number of requests to join the campaign). The general public becomes aware of what is at stake in the Geneva Convention (social network statistics, press coverage)
